Why did Balasaheb Deo tell Jog in Shirdi that he wasn't reading the Dnyaneshwari?

When Jog asked Balasaheb Deo in Shirdi why he wasn't reading the Dnyaneshwari daily, Deo was explaining the frustrating situation he was in. As Chapter 41 recounts, Deo had a 'great desire' for the scripture, but his resolution to read it would not 'reach fulfillment' due to persistent, unnamed obstacles. He was so distressed that he couldn't even manage to read five verses daily with regularity. Because of this ongoing failure, he had made a new, firm resolve: he would only start reading the Dnyaneshwari again when Sai Baba Himself gave him a direct order, placing the entire onus of the spiritual practice on his Guru's grace.
