Why did Balasaheb Deo decide he would only read the Dnyaneshwari if Sai Baba personally told him to?

Balasaheb Deo became distressed because his strong resolution to read the Dnyaneshwari daily was consistently failing. According to Chapter 41, despite his deep desire, he found that even a simple commitment to read five verses each day was not happening with regularity or enthusiasm. Feeling defeated, he made a new, firm resolve. He decided to place his faith entirely at Sai Baba's feet, making a rule for himself that he would only begin reading the Dnyaneshwari again when Sai Himself gave the direct order and the 'love' for it. He sat with this firm resolve, surrendering his personal effort to the Guru's will.
