Why did Amir Shakkar leave the Chavadi, and what happened immediately after he disobeyed Baba's order?

📖 Chapter 22

Despite the spiritual benefits of staying in the Chavadi, Amir Shakkar eventually grew tired of the confinement. Chapter 22 explains that his mind began to desire freedom, and the stay started to feel like a prison to him. Believing he had enough of this dependency, he decided to leave without seeking Sai Baba's permission, abandoning his assigned place. He went to Kopergaon and stayed in a Dharmashala. The immediate consequence of this disobedience was a strange and troubling event. There, he encountered a Fakir on the verge of death from thirst. Amir felt pity and gave him water, but the moment the Fakir drank it, his body became lifeless.
