Why did Amir Shakkar decide to leave the Chavadi, and what happened immediately after he left?

📖 Chapter 22

Despite the benefit of being in close company with Sai Baba, Amir Shakkar eventually grew tired of his confinement in the Chavadi. Chapter 22 states that after nine months, the place began to feel like a prison to him, and his mind, desiring freedom, rebelled against the dependency. He thought, "Enough of this prison!" and, without seeking Baba's permission, he abandoned his assigned place. He traveled to Kopergaon and stayed in a Dharmashala. The immediate consequence of this disobedience was a miraculous and troubling event: he encountered a Fakir on the verge of death from thirst. When Amir gave the man water, the Fakir's body became lifeless the moment he drank.
