Balabuva Satarkar was unable to perform his usual Ram Navami Kirtan because of a public health crisis. Chapter 6 states that a plague, referred to as 'Margi,' struck the village of Kavthe, where he was scheduled to perform. The village became empty, and he received letters telling him the festival was canceled and to come the following year. This unforeseen cancellation of his service to Rama at Kavthe provided the perfect opportunity for him to pursue his desire to go to Shirdi for Sai Baba's Darshan, leading him to meet with Dixit and arrange the visit.
