Why are saints born on earth, and what enables a person to benefit from their stories?

Chapter 23 explains that the incarnations of saints occur on earth out of benevolence, specifically for the salvation of "dull-witted souls." This is presented as a manifestation of the Almighty's grace. The chapter further clarifies that not everyone is naturally drawn to their teachings. It is only when a person has accumulated sufficient merit (Punya) from past deeds that a desire will arise in their heart to hear the stories of saints, which is the path to attaining happiness and contentment.
