Sai Baba's earliest devotees in Shirdi included Mhalasapati, Kashiram Shimpi, and Appa Jagle. According to Chapter 0, Mhalasapati was the one who first named him 'Sai Baba' and introduced him to Kashiram and Appa. These three men were known for their hospitality towards saints and holy men who visited the village. They all became total devotees of Maharaj. Kashiram Shimpi, in particular, served Maharaj with exceptional dedication, using his body, mind, and wealth.
