Who were Damu Anna and Mavshibai, and what was their relationship as depicted in the incident before Sai Baba?

📖 Chapter 24

Damu Anna and Mavshibai were two devoted followers of Sai Baba. Chapter 24 introduces Damu Anna as a man who had crossed fifty and had no teeth. Mavshibai, whose original name was Venubai Kaujalgi, was also of a mature age and was a widow. Baba himself respectfully called her "Mother" (Aai). Both were engaged in performing service to Baba when the incident occurred—Anna was pressing Baba's hand while Mavshibai was massaging his stomach. Their relationship as depicted in this scene is that of fellow devotees who, despite their devotion, engaged in a very human and humorous quarrel, which was then lovingly resolved by their guru, Sai Baba.
