Who was Megha, and how did he first come into contact with Sai Baba?

According to Chapter 28 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, Megha was a Gujarati Brahmin who had a 'karmic bond' with Sai that eventually led him to Shirdi. His journey began when he unexpectedly met Raobhadur Sathe, a district officer in Kheda. Sathe employed Megha to perform daily worship at a Shiva temple. Later, when Sathe came to Shirdi, Megha's fortunes rose as he accompanied him. It was there that Megha met Maharaj Sai, and his mind became deeply attached to Baba's feet. The text notes that it was through this pure service that he ultimately attained Baba's grace.
