Who was Mavshibai and what was her particular way of serving Sai Baba?

πŸ“– Chapter 24

Mavshibai, whose original name was Venubai Kaujalgi, was a devoted, mature-aged widow whom Sai Baba himself affectionately called 'Mother' (Aai). Her service was intensely physical and performed with pure-hearted devotion. According to Chapter 24, she would press Baba's stomach and sides with such force that her breath would become uncontrollable. The text describes her 'grinding' his stomach by twisting with both hands and churning his navel area as if it were a pot of buttermilk. This extraordinary method, born of fearless love while she was absorbed in Sai's name, was so vigorous it made Baba's stomach and back appear flat. Despite the intensity, Baba remained completely at ease during her service.
