Chapter 28 introduces a devotee named Laxmichand. He was a very trustworthy and obedient clerk, or munshi, working for Ralli Brothers, a Greek merchant company in Mumbai. Before that, he had worked in the railways department and at the Venkatesh Printing Press. The Satcharitra describes him as one of the "pious chicks" whom Baba drew to Shirdi. His first direct darshan occurred during Navaratri in 1910, but the groundwork for this visit was laid one or two months prior when he had an unexpected and wonderful dream vision of Baba while living in Santa Cruz.
Who was Laxmichand and how was he drawn to Shirdi for the first time?
