Who was Laxmichand and how did he come to meet Sai Baba?

Laxmichand was a devotee who worked as a trustworthy and obedient munshi (clerk) for Ralli Brothers, a Greek merchant company in Mumbai. His journey to Sai Baba is presented as a classic example of Baba's promise to pull his devotees to him from afar, as if they were sparrow chicks tied by a string. Chapter 28 explains that the opportunity for his first visit to Shirdi arose in 1910 during Navaratri. This meeting was foreshadowed one or two months earlier when he had an unexpected and wonderful dream vision of Baba while living in Santa Cruz.
