Laxmibai Shinde was a virtuous and highly devoted follower of Sai Baba, whose deeds were said to be as good as her name. According to Chapter 42, her devotion was so great that she, along with a few others, was permitted in the mosque even during the night. Her service was consistent; she would lovingly prepare and bring him vegetables and bread (Bhaji-Bhakar) daily. Her relationship with Baba exemplifies selfless service.
