Who was Gopalrao Gund and what was his relationship with Maharaj and the village temples?

Gopalrao Gund was the Revenue Circle Inspector of Kopargaon who, like others, came for Maharaj's darshan and became a total devotee. The Introduction (Chapter 0) notes that he had three wives but no children, and he was blessed with a son through Maharaj's grace. Observing that the Masjid was dilapidated, Gund collected a large number of stones with the intention of rebuilding it. However, Maharaj did not give him permission for this project. Instead, under Maharaj's command, the stones collected by Gopalrao were repurposed to build the Shani temple and renovate other temples in the village.
