Who was Damu Anna and what was his specific devotional practice mentioned in relation to the Ram Navami festival?

📖 Chapter 25

According to Chapter 25, Damu Anna was a wealthy bronze-smith from Ahmednagar and a devoted follower of Sai Baba. A significant example of his devotion was his role in the annual Ram Navami festival in Shirdi. It is known to the residents there that two large new flags are taken out in a procession. One of these flags belonged to the Nimonkars, and the second one belonged to Damu Anna. This was a regular vow he had undertaken for many years, which he carried out with 'uninterrupted love and devotion.' The procession, accompanied by musical instruments, would start from the house of Kondaji Sutara, and the flags would eventually be tied to the two ends of the Masjid.
