Who was Damu Anna and what was his specific contribution to the Ram Navami festival in Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 25

Damu Anna was a wealthy bronze-smith (Kasar) from Ahmednagar and a devoted follower of Sai Baba. As described in Chapter 25, his significant contribution to the annual Ram Navami festival was providing one of the two large new flags that were taken out in a procession through Shirdi village. This was a regular vow he had maintained for many years out of uninterrupted love and devotion. The other flag was provided by the Nimonkars, and both were tied to the ends of the Masjid as part of the celebration.
