Who was Damu Anna and how was his devotion to Sai Baba characterized in the scripture?

📖 Chapter 25

Damu Anna is introduced in Chapter 25 as a well-to-do person from Ahmednagar, specifically a wealthy Kasar (bronze-smith), who was a great devotee "devoted to Sai's feet." His story is presented to show Sai's readiness to protect His followers. His devotion is characterized by consistent, loving actions. For instance, he upheld a regular vow for many years to provide one of the two large flags for the annual Ram Navami festival procession in Shirdi. This act was carried out with "uninterrupted love and devotion." His faith was rewarded when, after being childless with two wives, he received Sai's blessings and was blessed with sons.
