Who was Chand Patil and what role did he play in Sai Baba's return to Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 5

Chand Patil was a fortunate Muslim man from the village of Dhup in the Aurangabad district. His significant role in the narrative begins when he loses his mare and, after a two-month search, encounters a mysterious Fakir under a mango tree. As Chapter 5 recounts, this Fakir, who was Sai Baba, miraculously helped him find his lost horse. This chance meeting was the event that led to Baba, who had been hidden for some time, returning to Shirdi with Chand Patil's wedding party. Thus, Chand Patil was the instrumental person through whom Baba was rediscovered.
