Who was Balabuva Satarkar and what was his connection to the Ram Navami festival?

📖 Chapter 6

Balabuva Satarkar was a Haridas, famous for his Bhajans, which earned him the nickname 'Modern Tukaram'. As detailed in Chapter 6, he was originally from Satara but resided in Parel, Mumbai. He had a strong association with the Ram Navami festival, as he held an annual grant to perform the Kirtan for this occasion at a holy place called Siddha-Kavthe in the Satara district. This, along with Ashadhi Ekadashi, were his two main annual festival commitments. Kaka Mahajani specifically sought him out to perform the festival in Shirdi one year after Bhishma was no longer available.
