Who was Amir Shakkar and what remedy did Sai Baba prescribe for his illness?

Amir Shakkar was a devotee who was afflicted by rheumatism. As narrated in Chapter 22, he approached Sai Baba, explained his illness in detail, and prayed for deliverance from his sorrow. Instead of a conventional medicine, Baba's remedy was a command for him to stay steadily in the Chavadi. Despite the difficult conditions of the Chavadi, Amir accepted Baba's word as his medicine and stayed there for nine months.
