Hemadpant is the author of the "Sai Leela" book, as his name is mentioned at the end of each chapter. In Chapter 2, the author pauses the main narrative to explain how he received this specific name. He describes his own initial character in unflattering terms to set the stage for the story. He admits to being mischievous, talkative, cynical, and critical. Furthermore, he describes himself as having a "bad intellect and a logic-driven mind," being arrogant about his knowledge, and always proud of his own wisdom, which made him prone to argumentation.
