Who is Hemadpant, and what was he like before writing the stories?

Hemadpant is the name given to the author of the "Sai Leela" book. In Chapter 2, he pauses the main narrative to explain how he received this name. He describes his former self in a critical light, admitting that he was initially "mischievous, talkative, cynical, and critical." He states that he had a logic-driven mind, was arrogant about his knowledge, and was always proud of his own wisdom, making him prone to argumentation. He also notes that he knew nothing of a Satguru's greatness and possessed a "bad intellect" at the time.
