Who is considered the true author of the Sai Leela, and what is the role of the human writer?

📖 Chapter 2

According to the text, the true author of the stories is Sai Baba Himself, with the human writer serving as a divine instrument. In Chapter 2, Sai Baba makes this clear by stating, "He is merely a pretext; I myself shall write my own story!" The role of the human writer, Hemadpant, was to completely dissolve his ego and surrender at Baba's feet. Once the ego is gone, Baba promised, "I myself shall enter with 'I-ness' and write with my own hand." Thus, the writer is a vessel, and the work of hearing, reflecting, and writing is ultimately accomplished by Sai Baba, the One to whom the story belongs.
