The final summary was composed by another devotee after Hemadpant's death. As described in Chapter 53, this new author approached the task with profound humility and a sense of inadequacy. He considered Hemadpant a "jewel among poets" and felt he was a "fool with a dull intellect" by comparison, blind to the art of poetry. Feeling dejected, he prayed fervently to Lord Dattaguru and Sai-Narayana for mercy and inspiration. He believed he had no strength of his own and that only through the Guru's grace could the work be done, stating that Sai himself would be the true author, merely using his mouth as an instrument.
