Who did Baba address when he pointed to a spot and instructed that a Samadhi be dug for him?

Before entering his three-day trance, Sai Baba specifically addressed Mhalasapati when giving instructions for his care. As narrated in Chapter 44, Baba pointed to a hall and said, "Dig a Samadhi there and keep me in that place." The text explicitly states that he was "Addressing Mhalasapati himself" when he firmly gave these orders. Despite this direct command from Baba's own mouth, when he became motionless, no one had the courage to actually dig the Samadhi, choosing instead to watch over his body.
