Sai Baba placed great importance on the daily reading of specific sacred texts for the spiritual welfare of his devotees. According to Chapter 18, the two main books he emphasized were the 'Jnaneshwari,' also known as 'Bhavartha Deepika,' and the 'Nath Bhagawat,' which is the beautiful eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat. He assigned the duty of reading these texts aloud to his devoted disciple, Sakharam Hari Jog, also known as Bapusaheb Jog. These reading sessions took place in Sathe's Wada and were considered of great use to the devotees, so much so that Baba would often send visitors from the Masjid to go and listen to the readings.
