Which specific holy books did Sai Baba emphasize for his devotees, and how did he organize their readings in Shirdi?

📖 Chapter 18

According to Chapter 18, Sai Baba placed great importance on two main divinely inspired books for the spiritual welfare of his devotees: the Jnaneshwari (also called Bhavartha Deepika) and the Nath Bhagawat, which is the eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat containing the dialogue between Krishna and Uddhava. He ensured these were read daily in Shirdi. Baba would assign this task to specific disciples, such as Sakharam Hari Jog and Bapusaheb Jog, who would conduct the readings in Sathe’s Wada. As detailed in Chapter 18, Baba would even direct devotees who came to see him in the Masjid to go to the Wada to listen, showcasing his method of bestowing grace through these sacred texts.
