Which event prompted Amir to leave the Chavadi, and what was the immediate consequence of his departure?

📖 Chapter 22

Despite having the great fortune of Sai Baba's companionship, Amir Shakkar eventually grew weary of his confinement. Chapter 22 states that after staying in the Chavadi for a long time, it began to feel like a prison to him. His mind desired freedom, and the thought "Enough of this prison!" arose within him. Acting on this feeling, he left his assigned place at the Chavadi without Baba's permission and went to Kopergaon. The immediate consequence of this decision was a strange and dramatic event: upon arriving at a Dharmashala, he encountered a Fakir on the verge of death from thirst. Amir felt pity and gave the man water, but the moment the Fakir drank, his body became lifeless.
