The devotee who was instrumental in arranging Balabuva Satarkar's visit was Dixit. After the Ram Navami festival in Kavthe was cancelled, Balabuva met Dixit and expressed his wish to go to Shirdi for Baba's Darshan and to perform Kirtan there. As detailed in Chapter 6, Dixit, a great devotee of Baba, took charge of the situation. He cautioned Balabuva that any fee was uncertain but promised to seek Baba's permission.
