When walking the spiritual path, what should a devotee focus their efforts on, and what concerns should they let go of?

📖 Chapter 27

A devotee on the spiritual path is advised to stop worrying about worldly necessities like how food and clothing will be obtained. Chapter 27 teaches that such things are subject to destiny and will be provided without specific effort; trying to force their acquisition is described as a 'vain fatigue.' Instead, a devotee must focus all their efforts on becoming spiritually accomplished, contemplating this day and night. The scriptures urge followers to 'Arise' and 'Awake' from the 'sleep of ignorance,' which is the root of all disasters. The primary focus should be on humbly surrendering at the Guru's feet to drink the nectar of his knowledge and trusting him completely for all needs.
