The Sanyasi returned to Dahanu in about a month, much sooner than the two to four months Mamlatdar Dev had suggested, which initially made Dev suspicious. However, the Sanyasi's purpose was different this time. As detailed in Chapter 40, he told Dev, "I haven't come for money; today we want a meal." He also mentioned that he had two companions with him. Despite his initial doubt about the Sanyasi's early return, Dev graciously welcomed the request. He replied, "Come, it is a pleasure. Consider this your own home," and agreed to host the Sanyasi and his two companions for a meal later that day.
