When Dixit met Sai, why was he more concerned with his mental state than his physical lameness?

📖 Chapter 4

When Kakasaheb Dixit finally met Sai Baba, his priority was spiritual healing over physical cure. As recounted in Chapter 4, upon hearing from Chandorkar that seeing Sai could cure his lameness, Dixit did not consider this physical ailment a true deficiency. He expressed to Sai that the real lameness is that of the mind, and that is what he wanted removed. He viewed the physical body as a temporary 'worldly carriage' composed of skin, blood, meat, and bones, and was content to let his leg remain lame if his mind could be healed. This shows his profound understanding and desire for spiritual progress above worldly comfort.
