Sai Baba made the "offering of his own body," attaining Nirvana in 1918 on the day of Vijayadashami (Dussehra), after which his Samadhi, or final resting place, was established. When all medical treatments failed, Narayanrao had a dream where Sai Baba appeared from an underground chamber, assuring him of his recovery within a week.
