When did Kaka Saheb Dixit first meet Sai Baba and what were the circumstances that led him to Shirdi?

Kaka Saheb Dixit first had the holy sight of Sai Baba on November 2, 1909. As described in Chapter 4, the primary cause for his visit was a physical ailment. While on a trip to England, Dixit's foot slipped, resulting in a lameness. Though it seemed like misfortune, this event was a blessing in disguise. It led him to meet Chandorkar, who told him about Sai Baba's fame. Dixit, however, was more concerned with the 'lameness of the mind' than his physical condition. He returned for a second darshan in December of the same year, already wishing to become a resident of Shirdi.
