Formal worship at the Chavadi began on a specific date. Chapter 37 records that from December 10, 1910, the practices of worship, bhajan, and adoration of Sai commenced in the Chavadi. He established a rule for himself to sleep at the Chavadi on alternate nights, with the other nights spent in the Masjid.
