What were the typical amounts of Dakshina that Baba would request, and what would he say to those who gave?

The amounts of Dakshina Sai Baba requested varied greatly and were not fixed. As described in Chapter 14, He might ask for small sums like one or two rupees, but He would also request enormous amounts, including hundreds, thousands, lakhs, and crores, choosing the sum as He pleased. Even after a devotee gave the offering, He might say, "Bring more." If the devotee claimed to have nothing left, Baba would instruct them to "Take a loan." This seemingly relentless approach was part of His unique teaching method to test faith and detachment rather than a desire for the money itself.
