What were the 'two paise' that Baba's Guru asked for, and what do they truly represent?

📖 Chapter 19

In Chapter 19, Baba clarifies that when his Guru asked him for two paise, he was not requesting worldly money, as a desire-fulfilled Guru has no need for it. The request was symbolic. Baba explains, "Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi)—these were the two paise, nothing else; I gave them to him then and there, and thus my Guru-Mother was pleased with me." This reveals that what a Guru truly expects from a disciple is not material wealth but the invaluable spiritual qualities of strong faith in the Guru and the courageous strength that is patience.
