Before traveling to Shirdi with his friend Kaka Mahajani, the man, who was a devotee of the formless, established two firm conditions for his visit. As detailed in chapter 35, he insisted, 'We will never bow our heads, nor provide any Dakshina.' He failed to uphold the first condition himself; upon hearing Baba speak in a voice reminiscent of his late father, he was so moved that he forgot his resolve and bowed at Baba's feet. As for the second condition, Sai Baba never asked him for Dakshina. Baba twice requested offerings from Kaka Mahajani but pointedly asked for nothing from the friend, which ultimately left the friend feeling 'restless in his mind.'
What were the two conditions Kaka Mahajani's friend made before going to Shirdi, and what happened with them?
