What were the specific roles of devotees and the elements involved in the Chavadi procession?

📖 Chapter 51

The Chavadi procession was a highly orchestrated event with many participants and elements, as detailed in Chapter 51. The men and women of Shirdi would joyfully accompany Baba, shouting slogans of victory. A devotee would walk on Baba's right side holding the end of his cloth, while Tatya Patil would walk on his left, holding a lantern. The procession featured musical instruments like horns, bugles, trumpets, mridanga, and cymbals. People carried flags, banners, and torches, while others fanned Baba with peacock feathers and whisks. A horse named Shyam-Sundar also had a prominent role, dancing at the front of the procession.
