What were the specific rituals Sai Baba performed right before he left the Masjid for the Chavadi procession?

Before departing the Masjid for the Chavadi, Sai Baba followed a distinct set of rituals. As described in Chapter 37, after Tatya Patil helped Him to His feet, Baba would have a beautiful golden-bordered shawl placed over Him. He would then approach a bundle of firewood, move His right big toe at the spot for a moment, and proceed to personally extinguish a burning flame by waving His right hand over it. Only after completing these actions, which also included tucking His short stick (satka) under His arm and taking His tobacco and pipe, would He set out for the Chavadi.
