What were the specific ritualistic actions Sai Baba performed just before leaving the Masjid for the Chavadi?

Just before setting out for the Chavadi, Sai Baba performed a distinct set of actions. After Tatya Patil had helped Him up and placed a shawl on Him, Baba would be ready with His kafni, satka, tobacco, and pipe. As described in Chapter 37, He would then approach a bundle of firewood kept against a wall. For a moment, He would move His right big toe at that spot. Immediately following this, He would personally wave His right hand over a burning flame nearby, extinguishing it. Only after completing this specific sequence of extinguishing the fire would He set out for the Chavadi procession.
