The journey to the Chavadi was a feast for the senses, marked by extensive preparations. According to Chapter 37, the path was adorned with arches, toranas (garlands), and many rows of lamps. To honor Baba, devotees spread shawls and double shawls on the ground to serve as foot-cloths for Him to walk on. The air was filled with a symphony of sounds from musical instruments including horns, trumpets, the 'Tas' and 'Jhanj', cymbals, mridanga, and veena.
