What were the specific actions Sai Baba performed right before starting for the Chavadi?

Before departing the Masjid for the Chavadi, Sai Baba performed a distinct set of actions. Chapter 37 explains that after getting ready with His kafni and satka, and after Tatya placed a shawl over Him, Baba would approach a wall where firewood was kept. There, He would move His right big toe at that spot for a moment. Immediately following this, He would personally wave His right hand over the burning flame there, extinguishing it. Only after completing this personal ritual would Sai set out for the Chavadi, at which point the celebratory procession would begin.
