What were the reactions of other saints, like Gangagir Baba and Anandnath Maharaj, when they encountered Maharaj?

Other contemporary saints held Maharaj in extremely high regard. As documented in Chapter 0, when Gangagir Baba first saw Maharaj carrying earthen pots of water, he immediately recognized his spiritual stature, exclaiming to the villagers, "This is purely a gem. His worth is very great. The village is very lucky that you got this gem." Similarly, Anandnath Maharaj, a disciple of the Swami of Akkalkot, insisted on traveling to Shirdi and upon arrival, declared, "This is a diamond. You don't know its true value," suggesting the locals were unaware of the profound spiritual being among them.
