What were the main scriptures Sai Baba encouraged his devotees to read in Shirdi, and who was assigned to lead these readings?

📖 Chapter 18

Sai Baba placed great importance on the daily reading of specific sacred texts for the spiritual welfare of his devotees. According to Chapter 18, the two primary books were the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavat. Specifically, he emphasized Jnandeva's commentary on the Gita, known as Jnaneshwari or Bhavartha Deepika, and the eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat, referred to as Nath Bhagawat or the Uddhava Gita. Baba assigned the task of conducting these daily readings to his devoted disciple, Bapusaheb Jog (also called Sakharam Hari Jog). These readings took place in Sathe’s Wada and were a significant opportunity for the spiritual growth of all the devotees who attended.
