What were the key elements that made up the Chavadi procession entourage with Sai Baba?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 51

The Chavadi procession was a full and vibrant affair with many participants and elements. As chronicled in Chapter 51, the procession was led by a beautifully decorated horse named Shyam-Sundar that danced at the front. Musicians played horns, bugles, trumpets, mridangas, and cymbals. Devotees, both men and women from Shirdi, surrounded Baba, joyfully shouting slogans of victory and singing bhajans. People carried flags and banners, while others held torches. A royal umbrella was held over Baba's head, and attendants fanned him with peacock feathers and whisks. Tatya Patil would walk on Baba's left, holding a lantern.
