Immediately after Sai Baba's breath left his body, a sequence of events unfolded as described in Chapter 44. First, essential rituals were performed: Laxman-mama conducted the worship, and another devotee, Jog, performed the Aarti with a lamp. Following these initial rites, a period of intense deliberation began among the Hindu and Muslim devotees, which lasted for twenty-six hours.
