What were some of the unusual activities for a mosque that took place where Sai Baba lived?

📖 Chapter 7

Chapter 7 highlights several practices in the mosque that were distinctly Hindu in nature, creating a unique spiritual environment. Although Baba resided in a mosque, he maintained a constantly burning sacred fire, or Dhuni. The text mentions that in this mosque, there was the ringing of bells and blowing of conches, the offering of oblations to the fire, constant bhajan sessions, and the ritual washing of feet (Pada-puja) and worship. These activities, along with the grinding of grain for distribution, were highly unusual for a traditional mosque and showed his transcendence of religious norms.
