What were Sai Baba's specific personal rituals right before He left the Masjid for the Chavadi?

Before starting the procession to the Chavadi, Sai Baba performed a distinct sequence of actions. Chapter 37 details that after Tatya Patil helped Him up, Baba, already wearing His kafni, would tuck His short stick (satka) under His arm and take His tobacco and pipe (chilim). Tatya would then place a golden-bordered shawl on Him. Following this, Baba would approach a bundle of firewood against a wall and momentarily touch the spot with His right big toe. Finally, in a curious act, He would wave His right hand over the burning flame there, extinguishing it himself before setting out for the Chavadi.
