What were Sai Baba's specific personal preparations and rituals before He departed the Masjid for the Chavadi?

According to Chapter 37, Sai Baba followed a distinct routine before the Chavadi procession. He would wear His usual kafni, tuck His short stick (satka) under His arm, and take His tobacco and pipe. After Tatya Patil lovingly placed a golden-bordered shawl over Him, Baba performed a curious ritual. He would go to a spot where firewood was kept, move His right big toe there, and then wave His right hand over a burning flame to extinguish it. Only after completing these personal actions would He set out for the Chavadi.
